I wanted to create the space I wish I had — a place where young women are seen, invested in, and sent into the world knowing exactly who they are.
Crowned in Confidence was founded on the belief that every young woman deserves the opportunity to discover who she is before the world tells her who she should be.
Driven by a passion for mentorship and a deep commitment to the next generation of women of color, Shakyra created a space where character is cultivated, confidence is crowned, and purpose is discovered.
Drawing from her own journey — navigating adolescence without the mentorship and community she needed — she set out to build something that would change the trajectory of young women's lives.
What began as a vision became a movement. Today, Crowned in Confidence stands as a testament to what happens when one woman refuses to let another generation go without the tools, the mentorship, and the community they deserve.

The crown is not given — it is earned through the daily practice of character, the courage to lead, and the commitment to serve. Every young woman who walks through our doors is already royalty. Our job is simply to help her see it.
